An Open Letter To Facebook about my username theft.
Well I often suffer tools for trying to do something useful with the Thirty Day Challenge. I dutifully lined up for the big Facebook land grab and went to get "eddale" the username you all know and love/hate me by.
But I missed out - I thought - what bad luck. Two switched on Ed Dale Internet Marketing types... but then the Tweets started flooding in about "Jessica Yuwell"
The rest of this post is my letter to facebook...
This person on facebook started out the day as "Jessica Yuwell" - the user then went on to grab the facebook username eddale - They then went and changed this profiles name to Ed Dale.
I am the "real" Ed Dale and my fan page has over 3000 fans - I have been a long time supporter of facebook. Can you please delete this account and give the www.facebook.com/eddale to my Fan page.
Feel free to search @Ed_Dale on twitter to see how many people have already gone to this fake profile by mistake.
I understand that you can only do your best but please - do not reward this predatory behavior.
Ed
Now fair - cop had a real Ed Dale beaten me to the punch - you would have not heard a peep from me. But a whole bunch of people such as Darren Rowse (Pro-Blogger) and John Reese have fallen victim to this ultimately really stupid scam.
Facebook - I have been a massive supporter of your system. Dont let these peanuts, make a joke of an awesome platform...
Ed
