Why Twitter Is Cool
The hot topic this weekend was twitter. I just wanted to put this up, to remind people why I think Twitter is important.

Although I’m a Twitter user I’m not a convert.
In fact the way I use it is probably not the way it was intended to be used. When I first started to look at IM I signed up to many lists …far too many. So I cut back and just focused on those who had blogs, but I didnt really have the time to read them all so I just looked at RSS feeds.
Now I use Twitter as an even more aggressive filter, if the your blog post isnt twittered it hasn’t happened!
I dont cruise Twitters public feed looking for interesting posts, wading through the dross is too much like hard work, I just use Twitter to eliminate ‘background noise’.

Mark my words - People will look back at the end of the year and say that Twitter was THE most important innovation to hit Internet Marketing in 2008
It’s a great idea to use it as a filter!
