Why I Don’t Follow Many People On Twitter - I choose to follow EVERYONE!
This is a really important video on the real uses of twitter and how I use an amazing tool to keep track of everyone. You don’t need to follow everyone and I have to take issue with people who say that it’s rude, arrogant,or says something about their character (which is negative)
So here’s my case - I’m sure that not everyone will agree.
And here is the Hi-Def version for you to downland
The Case For Not Following Everyone Who Follows You On Twitter
(You should right click on that file and download it to your computer - it’s not designed to play straight away)
Feel free to spread this one around - i think this issue goes a lot further than Internet Marketing.

Ed, thanks for the video. As a new user of twitter, I can’t tell you what a relief your perspective is. I only have a few dozen followers and about as many people I’m following and was beginning to feel overwhelmed, even though I’m fascinated by it all.
This will help me decide what’s best for what I’m setting out to accomplish. And thanks for the cool tools.

Hey Ed!
Great info there…
Looking forward to more of these
videos…
You’re the MAN man…
Cheers,

P.S. How do you upload videos more
than 10mins to YouTube?
@yarostarak twittered about this post - so I wanted to check it out. Completely agree with your point. I follow those people who share my professional/personal interestests and from whose perspective and “online discoveries” I feel that I can benefit - likewise, I would hope that the people who follow me get some value from reading whatever it is that I choose to post on twitter.
I feel it’s a great source for new content, ideas and perspectives - but who can follow EVERYONE. I also think it’s interesting to read about the different twitter perspectives and strategies. For example, some people follow thousands, but don’t want to be followed. Other people have LOTS of followers, but don’t follow anyone - I don’t get that exactly. Personally, I’m on the side of having a fairly even distribution - only because I see it as a sort of conversation.
My 2 cents.
Thanks for mentioning me in your video. You outdid yourself again, as always. Because of you I am cleaning up and weeding out my Twitter account to the people who I want to hear from most.
Don’t worry though, you are still one of those people!
Thx,
Dustin
Because of you and this video, I am trying quotably today. So far I like it. The way it puts things into threads is a great idea and it makes it so much easier to follow the conversations going on.
Thanks again for a great video.
Great video and so nice someone else agrees with me! LOL
Thanks!
