Australia 2020 - Nominations - If you have a spare 20 minutes and are in Australia…

Every Australian has the opportunity to nominate themselves, or to nominate someone else who could make an important contribution to the Australia 2020 Summit as a member of one of 10 critical areas of discussion.

Australia 2020 - Nominations

Hi Gang

If you have some time today I was wondering if you could nominate me for the Australia 2020 conference - You all know how I feel about the state of Internet Infrastructure in Australia and I know how many Aussie bloggers feel the same way.

There is a form to fill out (not online of course - so we have to waste a whole bunch of paper) - you can scan it  and email it in. It needs to be emailed before 5pm Friday

I would love to represent you all at this conference. Really appreciate your help on this.

Ed

Doing one right now. Should have it emailed in about an hour.

    Good luck.

  2. Doing it now Ed - a couple of things:

    a) It can actually be emailed direct - as comes out as a word doco & you don’t need to sign it.

So makes it easier for people to assist.

    b) Not everyone will have a telephone contact and address for you - is there one business one you are happy to give out for this purpose?

And I would LOVE to see you there, so am filling out & sending extra good vibes when I email it!

    Caro :-)

  3. OK and which working group is your preference - since you will be allocated to only one - makes sense to choose the one you want to be in :-)

  4. happy to nominate you Ed

Which group do you want to belong to

    the one with Cate Blanchard

    I assume its Economic infrastructure

    cheers

  5. Yeah I wondered that - or the one about Innovation - since our broadband is so crappy here compared to ROW.

    :-)

  6. Ed i need some info to fill this out

    like contact details etc

can you give me the info they require

    cheers

  7. For the rest of the 20,699,000 people in Oz not invited to the Summit, the online community created a wiki called Oz Ideas to be our forum to list and vote on the best ideas to improve Australia. It’s free and can be anonymous. We just think everyday people probably have just as good ideas for this country than the experts, so the site acts as a national online brainstorming session. It’s at http://ozideas.wetpaint.com.

    See what you think.

    Cheers,
    Jim

It says only one nomination counts, and there is no advantage in multiple nominations. regardless:

I have learned a lot from Mr Dale. He is a very well spoken, kind and knowledgeable person, and I think he would be an absolute asset to any working group, and would prove to be insightful, logical and sensitive to the needs of all Australians.

Mr Dale is a role model whom I look up to greatly, and highly recommend you consider him for a place in the Australia 2020 Summit. He has a track record of personal success, but has always made time to help others achieve similar success. Every year Mr Dale takes a month off work to tutor many thousands of people, and his efforts are highly commendable.

I would like Mr Dale to represent me at the summit, and believe he would serve as an appropriate representative to all Australians.

You only need one nomination bozo. It’s not the Logies.
