Is It Time To Give A Flock Again…..
I was a big fan of the Flock browser but was lured away to Firefox because of all the handy dandy extentions. A couple of very smart edgers suggested I take another look - I'll et you know what I think

Thanks Ed… Unfortunately the FireFox that my wife is running on her Mac Book is very very buggy. I’ve been trying to fix it but I am a PC guy and really have no idea how to go about that. I will have to take a look at Flock to see if she likes it more. Right now she is using Safari and doesn’t really like that software either…
Nice one Ed, thanks for the suggestion. It looks intelligent and comes up with a My World page that includes everything I am involved with. I will give it a whirl and read your comments with interest
Good call Ed. I’ve been twittering on about the new Flock for a while now. There’s a lot to like! Just the ease of use with the blogging tool and tagging content for later use is worth the price of admission alone. It’s also replaced my newsreader. And the Media Bar, damn that thing’s cool! And what about … okay I’ll stop.
Cheers,
Nez
I’ve played around with the new Flock, and I agree there is much to like. But one morning it struck me, I have my Firefox setup just the way I like it…and it works with any online site or app I can think of.
I decided it just wasn’t worth the effort.
Another point, the newsreader was damn slow and irritating me–maybe because I subscribe to a hell of alot of blogs.
But yeah, let us know.
I’m pulled between the two. I really like them both, so I end up switching back and forth between the two. I love Flock’s blogging tool and that it’s a social browser. Plus! Zotero works with it.
For those interested:

8hands brings social networks to your desktop!
* access all your social networks (MySpace, Facebook, Blogs, Flickr, YouTube etc.) from a single entry point
* know exactly what is happening on all of your social networks in real time
* chat via IM with your social network friends any time
* organize your social media content (pics, videos, posts) in one place and much more…
Because constantly visiting all your social sites is SO 2006.
So I decided to give Flock another try yesterday…I love it.
The blog feed (which I said annoyed me in the past) works great. Plus, it is built on Mozilla, and is so far handling all of the same extensions Firefox has (seo tool, stumble, etc etc).
Not to mention all of the built in Flock goodness.
We’ll see how it goes.
