Another Reason Why YouTube rules

YouTube is the new TV - just watch what happens when AppleTV comes out at the end of the month and then the iPhone at the end of June.

Got real lucky a few years back. We were guests of the incredible Paul T Riddle, the original drummer for the Marshall Tucker Band at the Allman Brothers concert at Great Woods in Mansfield, MA. He of course is family to them. So we got to hang with the band and the families before the show. I had Gregg autograph my OLD album-
Greg Allman Laid Back. He got a kick out of someone having a mint copy, and his young mug on it. But what made the night special, besides Riddle sitting in for Jamoie, or JJ Johnson, was Derek Trucks first big show UP FRONT!
Sadly, Dickey Betts, who should be enshrined for Bluesky alone, was now gone and this time for good.
But that kid Derek, who was actually nervous as a whelping b…., settled in after the first two warm ups, and did he get in the groove. For the first two, he looked sheepishly at Greg and uncle Butch. But then he got into this Duanesque run in Elizabeth Reed and even the fans that care about the ’songs’, not the solos, were speechless. Until he was done.
They got it that this 19 year old had essentially approached the All-Time masters.
