Viva La Revoultion – The Music Industry Is Dead, Long Live The Music Industry!

Some days you read something that just cut's through the bull and point out the plainly obvious.

Today was one of those days

Steve Jobs wrote a simple letter - one that will shake the foundations of the music industry

Thoughts on music

There is now speculation that the most influential music group in history will do a deal that will mean music will never be the same - a hell of a lot better - but not the same

Adam Curry hit it on the head with this excellent podcast

Today marks the future of Steve Jobs legacy.
Apple will become THE record company, music will be set free of DRM.
And it will all start with The Beatles. Im so confident of this
strategy that I kick off the show with Help! by the Fab Four.

Note to Apple and the Beatles - I'll buy every damn song you ever published if you have the guts to take this path.

Ed

  1. The second tune I ever learned to play on the piano was ‘Let it be’… the first however was ‘walk of life’.

Hey Dan – I too am a piano player by birth – but guitar is a hell of a lot of fun!
