  2. Wordtrackers a great free tool Ed. What paid keyword tool do you use and recommend?

    Here’s links to a couple of videos on Youtube from Travis Sago of Bum Marketing fame that other UA’s might find real useful;

  3. Can’t get the Wordtracker browser plug-in to work with Flock. Just keep getting error page.

  4. Thanks WordTracker, thanks Mike Mindell, big thanks Ed. Started my first AdWords campaign a few days ago and am getting more traffic, lots more. The strange thing is that only about a third of the hits are from Clicks ???Do searchers see my AdText and then type in the URL??? Not paying for the click but CTR / QS benefit not accrued. Conspiracy theory that Google doesn’t measure all your clicks so it can slowly slowly raise your CPC and get you to raise your Max Bid (and budget)… hmmm, what do you think…
Oh yes, v cool FireFox plug in and some different high scoring keywords compared to AdWords.
Question. How do I import the Word Tracker keywords into my AdGroup?

Ed, in case you haven’t seen this:
    http://www.google.com/adwords/learningcenter/
Google AdWords Learning Center. Free AdWords Training. It is a fair dinkum course ie. you can spend days working thru the content. I got about half way thru and was just compelled to start now.
After a couples of days I found out what keywords were performing and changed my AdText so that these words were in each Ad so they would appear bold. A day later I thought what if my display URL also contained the most popular keyword. Trying that out now.
P.S. ordered Perry’s Ultimate Guide - should be arriving any day :) it’ll be nice to have some pro advice ’cause this AdWords has the potential to get real expensive - go go conversion engine!!!

  6. It’s showing 298, 909, 937 results in the last 90 days no matter what I type in.

This is also the same number it showed in your video for the “trout fishing” example.

Is Mike aware of this glitch?

  7. Linda Abbit says:

    Thank you Ed and Mike!

    Cheers,

    Linda

  8. Hi guys,

The number at the top - the one that says 298,909,937 searches for the last 90 days - shows the *total* searches in our database for the last 90 days.

This number changes twice a week along with each database update.

However the number at the bottom - total searches - changes with each keyword you type in. It sums up all the searches above.

    Hope that clears things up.

    Kind regards,

  9. Ed,

I would be keen to get your response to this:

    http://www.bradfallon.com/2007/02/discuss-overture-keyword-tool-update.html

It is saying Yahoo Keyword tracker is staying ALIVE - well maybe on life support, but still technically alive none the less ;)
